Younicity

Younicity is the service platform of Valore D - the first business association in Italy to promote an inclusive culture for the growth of our country's organizations. The goal of Younicity – which was conceived, designed, and realized by Logotel – is to become the reference community for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion themes. The project has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2024.

Younicity: a unique place inhabited by infinite uniqueness.

THE CHALLENGE

Break down every physical and psychological barrier.

Shape an inter-company Community that values the uniqueness of individuals and serves as a meeting place, growth, and exchange for the Valore D network.

This is the challenge that Logotel has embraced and is encapsulated in the Younicity platform. In the naming, we already find the entire essence of this virtual CITY that places at its core the UNIQUENESS and the individual people who make it up (YOU). In Younicity, people meet, participate freely, and feel part of an environment free from prejudices and stereotypes.

In this virtual space, welcoming and inclusive, people from companies associated with Valore D can educate and inform themselves, exchange best practices, and engage through authoritative and engaging content, experiences, and insights.

The community is completely customized and represents a true city of inclusion, accessible to all the uniquenesses that decide to populate it.

In its uniqueness, Younicity aims to break down every physical and psychological barrier, welcoming a large network of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: values that Logotel has always recognized itself in.

THE SOLUTION

Inclusion and accessibility: the pillars of Younicity.

Younicity has been designed and created to be an accessible environment, without any barriers: here, every person can enjoy a smooth, natural, and frictionless experience.

The communitycomplies with the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines for website accessibility.

The elements that make up the User Experience within Younicity are designed to avoid cognitive overload and to guide people with clarity and simplicity throughout the journey.

The language used and the Tone of Voice of the platform reflect the choice to include every uniqueness, speaking with forms and words close to people, reinforcing the perception of closeness and inclusion.

THE STRUCTURE

Younicity and its neighborhoods: what’s in the community?

Each section of the community evokes the metaphor of the city, the quintessential place of meeting and exchange.

News, content, educational experiences, each neighborhood encapsulates the essence of an experience unit designed and created to meet a specific objective.

Some examples? The skill gym is the perfect place to train one’s know-how, test oneself, and increase knowledge and skills.

The event square is the space that hosts all the initiatives of the Network dedicated to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and the enhancement of people.

In Younicity, every corner is an opportunity to discover and experience!

THE METHOD

The project method: comparison and involvement of future Users.

Throughout all the phases of the project, from analysis to design, from development to testing, our multidisciplinary team worked together with the companies associated with Valore D, gathering their needs, desires, and suggestions to build an environment that could truly prove useful for all requirements.

We involved a wide range of people in all phases who would live the Younicity experience in the future, aiming to have a diverse group composed of many specificities.

During the 12 months of planning and development, each phase was open to discussion with those who would inhabit this city of uniqueness.
